Welcome to the SGSLPS website!

The Swiss Graduate Society of Logic and Philosophy of Science (SGSLPS) is an association of advanced undergraduate and graduate students with interest and enthusiasm for the large domain of logic and philosophy of science.

It is the young branch of the Swiss Society for Logic and Philosophy of Science (SSLPS), which was founded in Zurich in 1948 as part of the Platform Mathematics, Astronomy and Physics (MAP) of the Swiss Academy of Sciences (ScNat).

The aim of the SGSLPS is to promote logic among young scientists of a wide range of disciplines including, but not restricted to, Mathematics, Philosophy and Computer Science. In particular, the SGSLPS offers a platform of exchange for all those concerned with logic or philosophy of science. To this end, the SGSLPS organises a series of yearly events covering topics from logic and philosophy of science. Among these are introductory lectures for a more general audience as well as meetings centred around the scientific work of members of the SGSLPS.
